Position Purpose

Develops meaningful CO-OP jobs for students in keeping with targets and job development priorities set out by the assistant director, employer relations. Engages with potential CO-OP employers to build professional relationships. Interacts with employers of all sectors (public, private, NGO) and works with the CO-OP coordinator team and the Career Development Centre to support employer development.

Essential Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or other relevant field
Five yearsí experience in business development, sales, marketing, recruitment or related area
Demonstrated success and strong sales skills, preferably in the employment and recruitment fields, with ability to close deals and create long-term relationships
Understanding of nature, needs and cycles of the private and public sectors as well as NGOs
Knowledge of co-op and postsecondary education systems in Canada (an asset)
Excellent communication skills, to interact with various clients and team members
Strong motivation to find and develop new opportunities and business relationships, and exceed targets
Proactivity, autonomy and ability to work with limited supervision
Computer proficiency, including with CRM systems
Valid driverís licence, access to vehicle and willingness to travel
Comfortable participating in networking activities, luncheons and public relations events
Bilingualism ó French and English (spoken and written).
