Position Purpose

Handles business intelligence initiatives supporting Human Resources strategic operations. Has a solid understanding of business operations, as well as University IT systems and priorities, and works closely with stakeholders to identify strategic needs. Uses business intelligence tool expertise to develop solutions to meet these needs and improve decision-making. Provides guidance to clients, to align technology solutions with business objectives and requirements.

Essential Qualifications

University degree in Management Information Systems, Human Resources or Business Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Human Resources designation is an asset
Expert knowledge of an integrated HRMS
Knowledge and expertise concerning process improvement frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, TQM)
Knowledge of business processes and management systems like ERP, Reporting systems and CRM
Knowledge of the various human resources activities
Knowledge of business processes and management systems used by the University and/or the designated client group
Demonstrated experience with BI architect concepts, including modelling and technology selection and implementation
Five years’ experience in a complex and diverse IT environment, including project planning, risk analysis and project management experience, preferably human resources related
Experience in managing multiple cross-functional system development projects that extend over many years
Demonstrated understanding of data warehouse concepts and knowledge of advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot table)
Demonstrated capacity to provide high-level analysis in complex situations
Good analytical and research abilities, with critical thinking and attention to detail
Bilingualism — French and English (spoken and written)
