Job description

Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide preventive and corrective maintenance for all building envelopes including roofs, curtain walls, linings and foundations. It assists in the planning of capital renewal according to the established priorities and ensures quality monitoring and control of new buildings, installations and renovations.

Essential Qualifications

Knowledge of building science normally acquired through college or equivalent experience
In-depth knowledge of the construction processes of all building envelope components, including roofing, curtain walls, linings and foundations
Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in construction
Demonstrated ability to use all hand tools typical of the construction industry
Knowledge and experience in contract management and preparation of quotations
Experience in supervising contractors' works
Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting plans and experience in dealing with consultants (architects and engineers)
Experience in prioritization / planning of work according to urgency, budget, etc.
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Maximo or other similar maintenance management software would be considered an asset.

Bilingualism French-English;
