Hiring salary range

Position Purpose

Provides logistical and administrative support to the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute including office supply management, writing, event support, member liasion, and assists with the delivery of all communications across various platforms withthe objective of contributing to efficient operation of the uOMBRI.

Essential Qualifications

Knowledge of administration / marketing and communication normally acquired through a postsecondary education program or through equivalent experience 1-3 yearsí experience in an administrative function within a public organization or inthe private sector ideally within a communication department Experience in a research, education and/or medical environment and Event

Coordination experience an asset
Strong written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a team as well as independently
Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing work and to perform well under pressure
Ability to balance a variety of activities and to deal effectively with a diversity ofindividuals
Excellent oral communication skills in English and French
Computer literacy with MS Office, graphic design software, web design and online socialnetworks

Contract of approximately 12 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring. This position is excluded from all union accreditation units.
