Job description

Salary (Grade: 10)

Hiring salary range
$66,735-$84,300

Position Purpose

Ensures that students comply with clinical placement requirements, which includes receiving necessary immunizations, obtaining police checks, obtaining or maintaining CPR and first aid certifications, completing mask fitting training and holding necessary professional licenses. Collects student information related to clinical placements and analyzes students’ clinical placement records. Ensures effective program implementation across different academic programs for the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine.

Essential Qualifications

Valid College of Nurses of Ontario certificate (RN)
Satisfactory police record check (Vulnerable Sector)
Minimum of five years of specialized nursing experience, including evaluating immunization records
Knowledge of immunization guidelines and best practices
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards in the area of epidemiology
Knowledge of federal and provincial privacy legislation
Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and its application to the collection of confidential and sensitive information
Experience applying policies and procedures
Experience applying health counselling techniques
Experience in problem solving, negotiating and crisis management
Experience using word processing software, databases, spreadsheets, presentation software, email and the Internet
Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze and maintain student records
Ability to maintain clinical placement risk management documentation standards
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, students and external stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a stressful environment
Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written)
